Mrs F who was living in south west London had been searching for a property for many months in mid Suffolk within easy reach of her sister but had no luck working with numerous estate agents. She decided that she needed help and that a property finder would be the obvious way forward.

What they were looking for:

She was looking for a 4 bedroom house with a good sized garden and didn’t mind a little renovation work. She would have liked an annexe for income, not too isolated, not thatch, setting and location were very important.

“Recently, I looked back at the wish list I put together before I first contacted you. Back then, I remember feeling doubtful about how much of what I wanted was realistic or achievable, and steeling myself to be ready to make lots of compromises.

With our wide knowledge of the area and with the help of our ‘little black book’ full of useful contacts of estate agents and local professionals such as surveyors etc. we managed to find a beautiful old former vicarage which required a little work but nothing major.

Gillie and I viewed several properties in advance and made videos of each one before our lovely client made the special journey to see them. She wasn’t 100% certain that they were right for her but it soon became clear that a good sized garden was right at the top of her list.

The happy outcome:

After 14 weeks since having her offer accepted we were able to hand over the keys to the property. We recognise that the big move can be incredibly stressful. So having checked that the house was ready to move into, meters read and all the vendor’s belongings removed we presented her with a lovely bottle of welcoming champagne
