Rural, But Not Too Rural…

Why they came to Stacks:

A London couple with grown children wanted an accessible country house. They liked the town of Dorset but did not really know the area. After many long fruitless treks to Dorset and back, they decided they needed ‘boots on the ground’ and more importantly local knowledge!

They contacted the property finding team at Stacks and we were able to help them with local knowledge as well as short list some properties we knew they would love.

What they were looking for:

Their ideal new property would be “rural, but not too rural”. There was a slight difference of opinion between the couple as one was born in the country whilst the other, although enjoying the countryside, was a self-confessed townie! So, we had to find properties which ticked both boxes.

How Stacks helped:

Being present, we showed a variety of properties in locations from rural, semi-rural and town. We talked about practicalities and ease as the property was going to be a weekend house at first, possibly becoming the main home.

Discussing areas and acting as a sounding board we were able to introduce a property on the outskirts of a lively town with breathtaking country views and large secluded garden which worked for both. We negotiated, and secured the property, introducing architects and local tradesmen during and after the process.

A beautiful home with a foot in both the town and country and two happy clients!
