Why they came to Stacks

Mr & Mrs J work full-time at time-intensive careers, and were unable to dedicate the time needed to properly househunt in a large geographical area. What they were looking for

Mr & Mrs J were looking along the A34, and the M40 for their forever family home. Externally, they were flexible, but Mr J came from farming stock, so a large plot on the edge of a village was preferred. They required annexe accommodation for parents eventually, but would be used for friends in the short-term. Schooling options were vital, as was an easy daily commute into London.

What the local area could offer

The search area traversed three of Stacks’ regions, and the advantages of each area – Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire – were explored thoroughly. The eventual location, Byfield a thriving village 8 miles from Banbury on the borders of Warks, Oxon and Northants, found an ideal blend of rural beauty, conveniently close to family, an easy commute from Banbury to Marylebone in under an hour, and the amount of sqft available for their money sold it to the J family.

The happy outcome

Mr & Mrs J moved at the end of the school term to their new house, an edge of village property, with a two bed annexe and 2 acres of grounds. The children met new friends over the summer holidays in the village, and settled into their new school in the September with ease. The friendliness of the village was an added bonus, and a new social life was quickly established with a wide group of families.
