First independent buying agent to be accredited by the RICS

Stacks Property Search & Acquisition has become the first independent buying agent to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

We are very proud to be members of the RICS. It’s a recognition of how we are at the forefront of rising standards and levels of service in the buying agent industry that is becoming increasingly mainstream.

We play a valuable part in wider agency business, particularly in the holding together of transactions. In a tricky market, just 3% of the transactions we have handled in the last decade have fallen through between acceptance of offer and completion. This compares with a current industry figure of around 30%.

Buying agents are usually insufficiently qualified to be members of the RICS. The professional body for relocation is the Association of Relocation Professionals (ARP); buyers would be advised to check that a buying agent they are considering using is a member of this organisation.

Established in 1984, we are also a member of the ARP, and we are the winners of the 2016 ARP Award for Best Property Finder.
