We will want to find out about your home life, your hobbies, your likes, your dislikes, plus practical requirements like schools and access to work etc. Your answers to our questions will form part of our brief and help us get a good understanding of what you need… and why.

Our next task is then to start house hunting on your behalf. We deal with local estate agents every day, so we know how to find potential properties, and we also know how to find out about properties that aren’t on the market yet too. Once we have a short list, we’ll carry out our own initial viewings to save you a trip to the UK. We can then talk you through our findings and see if anything jumps out at you that you may want to visit yourself.

Next comes the fun part. Negotiation. Based on what we’ve learned through our research, we’ll have the awkward conversations, ask the awkward questions, and get the best purchase price and terms we can. Our team of property finders are extremely experienced when it comes to negotiation. We work for you as the buyer, so getting you the best price is in our interest. We also know the way the market works within the UK which gives us a further advantage.

Once your offer is accepted, we will then continue to deal with every aspect of your purchase, from working with the surveyor, to liaising with planners, conferring with your solicitor, and dealing with any problems. This is where having feet on the ground really makes a difference. When you’re moving to the UK, communicating with the involved parties can be difficult – especially if there is a time differences to your local area. We’ll take care of the communication for you and keep you informed every step of the way, whilst still keeping everything as stress-free as possible.

Once your property is secured and contracts have exchanged, we will then continue to assist your move to the UK from abroad by liaising with local tradesmen, suppliers, removers, etc. and basically be on hand to advise on any aspect of your new property. Until finally we can…
