Help and advice on buying property in Teign Valley.
The Teign Valley’s popularity can be put down the three C’s: Communication, countryside and community.
It lies to the south western side of Exeter. It is an area popular with people who need access into Exeter but want to be living in a rural area near to the Dartmoor National Park. It can be accessed from the A38, A30 or by many smaller roads which mingle through valley and over the Haldon Hills to Exeter.
There are many lovely villages all with a character of their own. They vary in size and infrastructure, from Christow ( just inside the Dartmoor National Park) with its own council, Post Office, pubs and community hall to Trusham, with its award winning Cridford Inn, reputed to be the oldest pub in Devon and the Nobody Inn at Doddiscomsleigh, , with its BT sport pub award for 2013 and its huge range of malt whiskies!
They have a wide range of properties from medieval to modern, with many delightful chocolate box thatched cottages. They all have a great sense of community spirit, which often revolves round the pub or church. The area is ideal for outdoor country pursuits, here are but a few.
