The East Midlands has a wealth of qualities to offer:
Areas close to Newark and Grantham are one of the Country’s best kept secrets as commuters are able to travel by rail directly to London’s Kings Cross in little over an hour, and into the West End and City shortly after that. Properties in this area are still refreshingly affordable compared to many other areas in the country with similar commute times to London.
Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Rutland have beautiful undulating countryside. The area has an abundance of quintessentially English villages with cracking pubs and pretty ‘blonde’ stone houses. Easily accessible Rutland Water is not only beautiful and a highly desirable place to live but is a very popular leisure area attracting many visitors each year.
Nottinghamshire is also beautiful with its pretty red brick buildings, whilst the market town of Stamford and the City of Lincoln are of world renown. There are excellent schools in the area to choose from including some of the best state grammar schools in the Country (such as Kings School, Grantham and Bourne Grammar), along with some highly regarded public schools (Uppingham, Oakham and Oundle) and some extremely popular independent day schools ((Stamford School and Nottingham High and Girls High School).
All 3 Counties benefit from an ongoing programme of investment in the road infrastructure making for very convenient travelling. The East Midlands airport is also easily accessible with ever increasing destinations allowing for more leisure flights and a great choice for business users travelling to Europe and beyond.
