Stacks South Wales covers the area from the Vale of Glamorgan, just outside of Cardiff to Pembrokeshire and includes the Gower Peninsula.
This area offers an amazing variety of beautiful landscapes, villages, towns and cities and this variety inevitably means there is a wealth of property types to be found from small miners/fisherman cottages to farms and country estates offering everything from an excellent investment opportunity to a complete lifestyle change.
Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire is Wales’ most westerly county and is home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom. Boasting a stunning coastal path stretching for 186 miles, sandy beaches, pebbly coves and the Preseli Hills, the area is ideal for tourism, one of the main sources of income for the county. Much of the rest of the county is fairly flat, with agriculture providing the other main source of income. There is no motorway in Pembrokeshire, the M4 ending 46 miles east, although dual carriageways provide good roadlinks. Rail links to London stretch from Fishguard where there are also ferry links to Ireland.
Carmarthenshire
The hidden gem of South West Wales, known as the ‘Garden of Wales’, Carmarthenshire is arguably the most Welsh of these South Wales areas. Stretching from the coast, much of the county is on higher land with the Cambrian Mountains in the north and the Black Mountains to the East. Main towns include Llanelli, Carmarthen, Ammanford and Llandeilo.
