Tom and Gemma were beginning to burst out of their 3 bed (plus boxroom) detached house in South-West London, when they first came to see us.

It has been ample with two kids, but now they had three, it had become a bit of s scrum.

They book in to one the regular surgeries that we run across London and in our new office in Nightingale Lane. Although both Tom and Gemma had grown up in the country it was clear that they were nervous of a move out of London.

Due to work and kids and general run-around, it was the first time that they had really had an opportunity to talk about their hopes and aspirations for the lives they wanted for themselves and their children. We talked about schools – and commutes – and access to their friends – and proximity to their parents. And once we had talked, it all fell into place really. They did want more space and garden for the family, within touching distance of London. We looked at the map and discussed the areas that they did and didn’t know. It was obvious that they should be looking along the M40 corridor.

For our local office to find, negotiate and secure the right house was the easy bit in some ways. Helping them pluck up the courage and make the move in the first place was the hardest bit!

Tom, Gemma and the 3 kids moved into their new home last August. Selling London and moving to the country has given them twice the floor space and a huge garden. They couldn’t be happier.
