George gave us a really fantastic service as a search agent. In a rather stagnant market George kept our search alive by putting houses forward to us and always made us aware of what was going on in the market and setting out the pros and cons for each location, providing us with a realistic picture, we very much felt he wasn’t looking for a sale but for the right house for us. George worked very closely with us and openly encouraged us to put forward houses we had seen for him to research and look at – this was a great time-saving service allowing us to explore all options.
A few times, we would be emailing George houses on a weekly if not daily basis asking his opinion, knowledge of the area, road noise advice etc and George was always informed and efficient in his reply – very often we had his response within an hour or so and this helped us enormously to progress at a pace and take us through lengthily thought processes in order to arrive at the right decision.
We ended up buying a house we had sourced and we wondered if perhaps the search service had been surplus to our needs but this was not at all the case as George guided us through a tricky negotiation process which we believe we couldn’t have completed successfully without him. George was also invaluable after the sale had gone through – introducing us to excellent tradesmen as well as lovely locals. Highly recommended.

We were living abroad and relocating back to the UK after almost 30 years and had never owned a property. We spent months trawling the online property portals and even did a virtual viewing but quickly realised buying a house from 3,500 miles away, sight unseen, was crazy and jumping on planes every other week was impossible. We knew roughly the area we wanted to live so we contacted Emma and George and it was the best decision we made. After a couple of Zoom calls, they quickly understood our circumstances and what we were looking for and set to work immediately.
Our timing was not great as the market was exploding post lockdown and inventory was very low but Emma and George were not phased and reassured us that they would find us our perfect home. We exchanged numerous listings; some dismissed straight away, and others followed up with Emma and George viewing on our behalf, sending us videos with commentary. Their feedback was honest, particularly on the properties that looked perfect in the listing but were not going to work for us, and extremely helpful.
We made a couple of trips to the UK to view properties that looked very promising and Emma and George were there to help and guide us through the process, covering many miles around the countryside (and visiting a few pubs along the way!). They were very patient with us and understood that this was going to be our one and only house purchase and it had to be right.
We finally found our home although were a little clueless about what to do next. Emma and George quickly guided us through the process and introduced us to surveyors and solicitiors. Their knowledge of the market and agents was absolutely invaluable when making the right offer. We are now in our beautiful new home and loving it.
